Crops and livestock are all I know. I have never worked or lived outside the industry.
I was raised on a wheat and commercial angus operation west of Big Sandy, Montana. In 1996 I became a crop and livestock insurance agent in Golden Valley County, Montana. After 6 years as an agent, I joined the Farm Service Agency. For 13 years with FSA, I assisted producers navigating USDA programs and gaining a solid knowledge of how insurance and USDA programs work together.
After the FSA, I became the Marketing Supervisor for Rain and Hail LLC, supporting 137 agencies across Montana and Wyoming to be the best crop agents they could be.
In 2022, I left the rat-race of corporate America to be a Crop and Livestock Insurance Agent again. Working directly with producers, has always been my passion.
I'd be proud to work with you to manage your operation's risk.
Will was raised in Choteau, Montana, living the rodeo-life with is dad and NRA Announcer, Stan Rasmussen, mom, Tootie, and siblings, Linda, Pete and Flint. He remembers many hours playing behind the chutes with those that became his idles and friends.
Will devoted 19 years as a Crop/Farm/Ranch Insurance Agent in Choteau, coaching High School sports and being deeply involved in the community. One of his favorite activities was organizing annual concerts prior to the Choteau Rodeo. He contracted acts such as Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Oak Ridge Boys, Toby Keith, Dan Seals, Little Texas, Bellamy Brothers, Suzy Boggus, and Martina McBride.
In 1981, Stan booked two rodeos for the same weekend. Stan sent Will to Gardiner to announce that rodeo in his place... and the rest is history! In 1985, Will and his brother Flint joined the NRA, announcing and entertaining crowds at several rodeos in Montana.
In 1994, Will got his PRCA card and has been entertaining and educating audiences with his wit and knowledge of rodeo ever since. His fierce patriotism and love of the 'western way of life' help make his rodeos great family entertainment. He often quotes Mike Huckabee, "We salute the flag, sing the National Anthem and pray without apology. What's not to love about rodeo!"
We were married May 7, 2022 at Jackson Hot Springs, Montana surrounded by family and friends. Today we call Salmon, Idaho our home. We are so fortunate to be accepted into such a wonderful community.
We spend days at home enjoying our place on beautiful Williams Creek, riding trails, fishing, and hanging with friends.
Summer takes us on the road pulling our trailer to all of Will's rodeos. The 'people of rodeo' are absolutely the best. Although we miss our friends in Salmon, we have great friends everywhere we go.
We are truly blessed.
